GENDER

The signs for MALE and FEMALE are used to identify the sex of a person. N.B. They do not apply to animals, birds etc.
1) MALE. Put either C-hand, back inward-downward & fingers inward-upward, with thumb and 1st finger on either side of chin. (e.g. Man is signed as Male Person).
2) FEMALE. Put either FLAT HAND, back forward-outward & digits pointing inward-upward, with balls of 1,2 & 3rd fingers on own cheek. (e.g. Woman is signed as Female Person).
